Lucille Hernandez, age 95, died Saturday January 17th at Morningside Manor in San Antonio. She was born in Graham, Texas in 1919 to San Juanita Balderrama and Peter Paul Acosta. She married Jesse Hernandez in 1942, before he deployed to the South Pacific.
She was retired from Fort Sam Houston, where she worked as a statistical clerk. Lucille served as worthy matron for the Bethany Chapter and was a member of the Alamo Heights Chapter of Eastern Star. She was also a Weight Watchers Leader and an avid bowler.
She is survived by her brother, Mac Acosta, and numerous nieces, nephews, and God Children.
Services will be at Sunset Funeral Home , 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Tx. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, services will be at 12:00 pm, and burial will follow at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:00.
