Louis D. Talamantez

Known to many as Grannyfather, he was born September 19, 1929, in San Antonio, TX. Louis was the youngest and last living child of 10 children born to parents, Eusebio and Felicitas Talamantez.

Louis started his career path as a butcher and ultimately retired from the same industry.

Preceded in death are his parents Eusebio and Felicitas Talamantez. Sisters, Soccorro, Ofelia, Dolores, Olivia and Maria. Brothers, Pedro, Beto, Justo, Eusebio, Son Luiz Talamantez and Daughter Linda Talamantez and his grandson David M Talamantez Jr.

Surviving family members include his loving wife of 75 years, Corina Talamantez. His children Zoila Lastinger, Louis Talamantez, Janie Tamez, JoAnn Romero and David Talamantez. There is a total of 16 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. As well as many nephews and nieces. Louis leaves behind many dear family, friends, and acquaintances from all walks of life. God bless them all. Louis is now in the loving arms of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.

Visitation for Louis will be on September 5th 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218 starting at 10 AM with eulogies starting at 11:15 AM.

A funeral service will begin at 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
