As a father to his two sons, he was devoted to them. His whole world was about spending as much time with them as he could. He loved them above all others. His parents and siblings adored him and were very proud of all his accomplishments and success he had in life. Louis received his Certificate of Dental Laboratory Sciences from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1996. His High School teacher encouraged him to consider the dental technician field because of his artistic ability. From that point on he began pursuing his career. He began his journey by working for different labs throughout the city. In 2009, he started his own lab, Artisan Dental Studio, Inc. He worked tirelessly to build the company into a competitive and respected dental lab. His employees were his friends and he thought highly of them.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rosie and Gilbert Rubio Sr., and his maternal grandmother, Elena Luna.
He is survived by both of his parents, Gilbert Rubio, Jr and Aurora Rubio; his siblings, Gilbert Rubio III (Jenny) and Christine Rubio; his sons, Ryan J. Rubio and Louis J. Rubio; and his nephews and nieces, Jonathan Sanchez, Katie Saucedo, Deven Cortez, Max Rubio, and Ellie Rubio; as well as his extended family and an abundance of friends.
A visitation for Louis will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78205. There will be a funeral service Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 9:00 AM at the funeral home with a graveside service following at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches, San Antonio, Texas 78266.
