Louis Richard Moran, age 74, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Louis was born in San Antonio, Texas to Francisca R. and Luis H. Moran. He is preceded in death by both of his parents; his sister June Elizabeth Moran Evans; and niece Blanca Moran. Louis Richard Moran served his country proudly in the U.S. Marines and was rewarded the prestigious Purple Heart Medal, Combat Action
Ribbon, Vietnamese Service Medal and the Vietnamese Campaign Medal.
Louis is survived by his wife Jeanette Moran; sons Richard A. Moran and Samuel Moran (Amanda Espinoza); grandchildren, Naomi Moran and Tiara Moran; his siblings, Albert Moran, Santa Lucia Moran,(Sandy), Yvonne Moran and Frank Moran; and his nieces & nephews, Laura Michelle Rios, Evie Tijerina, Fred Luis Moran, Brand Tenille Moran Guzman, April Hernandez, Frances D. Evans, Brandon A. Moran, Luis Andrew Filoteo, Ainsley M. King, Briana Guzman, Jon Luke Moran, Jacqlynn Moran, Vivian Moran, Enady Plata, and Emery Cabrera.
Also surviving him are several close friends; Alfredo (Boogie) & Yolanda Morales, Roger and Janie Morales, Blanca, Flaco, Tito, Nina Morales, Gloria (Bobo) Morales, Rene (Boy) Trevino and Robert Woods.
A visitation for Louis will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N Main Avenue, San Antonio, Texas 78205. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 3107 N St Mary's St, San Antonio, Texas 78212. Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
