Lori Nicole Vanta

January 31, 1971 - February 18, 2014

Lori was the loving wife of Wilfredo D. Vanta, Jr. for 22 years. She was the devoted mother of two children; Madison Nicole, age 16 and Colin Everett, age 12. Lori was blessed to have three fathers who loved her dearly. Joseph E. Britt preceded her in death in 1996. Surviving is Richard O. Whisanant and step-mom, Debbie of Westly Chapel, Florida. Lori is survived by her loving mother, Patricia Lauer Klecka and step-dad, James M. Klecka, who reside in East Bernard, Texas. Lori was blessed to have a large family of siblings. Brother, R. Quincy Britt and wife Patricia of Houston, Texas; sister Patsy Britt Jennings and husband Robert of Jupiter, Florida; brother, K. Jason Britt and wife Julia of Austin, Texas; sisters Megan L. Britt and Emily R. Klecka of East Bernard, TX. Lori was preceded in death by her father in law, Wilfredo D. Vanta. She is also survived by mother in law, Carolina Vanta of San Antonio, Texas and many sister and brother in laws, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention. Lori was born in York, PA but lived most of her life in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from the first graduating class of Faith Outreach Christian Academy in 1989. Lori's life was a shining light that touched everyone she met, due to her close relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lori wanted everyone she met to know and love Him too. This was so evident as Lori whispered to her family in her last hours, "Keep telling others about Jesus, keep spreading the word." She was a devoted and loyal friend to so many, touching each of their lives to the day she took her last breath. Our precious Lori will always remain in our hearts, and we promise to carry on her legacy of faith, courage, love and compassion.

A visitation will be held at Cornerstone Church February 24, 2014 from 9-11am with funeral services to begin at 11am.

Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
