Lorenzo "Chencho" Varela

He loved his job and did it well, it was his "art". He was selfless, always giving to others his time, his talent, and his art creations. Lorenzo was always there to lend a helping hand and offer support. He loved the outdoors and riding his motorcycle. He loved his nieces and nephews and was extremely proud of his daughters.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jose C.; brothers, Louie Varela and Joe Varela; and his sister, Rosalba Rivas.

He is survived by his mother, Socorro Varela, daughters, Lynnea Broughton- Varela and Makayla Varela; brother, Roberto Barela; sisters, Vera Ortiz, Hipolita Gutierrez, Guadalupe Sanchez and Lily Varela as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Lorenzo will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

There will be a Visitation held Saturday, December 9, 2023 beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237.
