Lloyd Jean Williams

Lloyd Jean Williams was called to rest on January 15, 2022. Lloyd Jean was born on May 29, 1946, To Lloyd Melvin Thomas and Egella Larkins Thomas who both proceeded her in death. Steven Von Thomas (brother) and Anita Thomas Mealor (sister), Michael Williams (son) also preceded her in death. She was the oldest of the late Lloyd Melvin Thomas and Egella Larkins Thomas. She is survived by three siblings: Patricia Thomas Beard (Claude), Alfretta Thomas Peak, and Anetta Thomas.

Lloyd Jean grew up in Cincinnati Ohio, with a loving family. She attended Hughes High School and was a member of Rackdale Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. While in Cincinnati she was part of the Great James Cleveland Chorus GMWA.

She traveled all over the United States and many parts of the world. She married Kenneth James Williams and to that union she raised five children: Melvin Williams, Bonnie Williams Willis, Kenneth James Williams and Javon Adamson-Williams, all of San Antonio, Texas. Five grandchildren, eight Great-Grandchildren all of San Antonio Texas, and a host of family and friends.

While in Panama, she was divorced and on a leap of faith and trusting God, she moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1979. She then attended St. Philips College, where she studied Catering and Business. She was known for her Phrases, such as "Trust in God" and "God always has my back". Lloyd Jean had her on catering business, worked as a cook for First Presbyterian Church and the Salvation Army. She volunteered and worked for many programs such as Christmas International and Blueprint ministries, Inside/Outside KAIROS Prison Ministry, the Carver Center, Habitat for Humanity and Christian Assisted Ministry. As a stroke survivor, she was an active member of the Alamo Area Stroke Support Group. She was an active Christian and loved to work and sing for the Lord.
