Lidia S. Lara born on December 5, 1925 in Marion, TX went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2011 at the age of 86. She was employed at Arcadia Cleaners in Alamo Heights for over 25 years and worked for a short period of time at Data Point Corporation as a production inspector. Her love for flowers was a testament for the beautiful garden she kept. Mrs. Lara is preceded in death by parents, Pedro and Maria Salazar; sister, Bertha Resendez; brothers, Leonel W. Salazar and Longo Salazar. She is survived by her husband, Ramon N. Lara; son and daughter-in-law, Leo L. and Sara G. Salazar; grandchildren, Leonel G. Salazar, Jr., Ray G. Salazar, and Adolph G. Salazar; goddaughter, Annie Vega (Bert), sisters-in-law, Betty and Mary Lou; brothers-in-law, Juan, Tommy, Joe, and George. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and her loving pet Chihuahua, Lita. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. followed by a 7:00 p.m. Rosary that same evening. A procession will depart from the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 for a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
