

was called before God on 26 September 2017 where he will be reunited in heaven
with his loving wife, Katherine after sixty-one years of marriage. Leroy lived a life of
pure selflessness and devotion to his family. He was a career U.S. Army soldier
retiring after twenty-one years of service and achieving the rank of Sergeant First-
Class. He served in the 82nd Airborne as well as in the Korea and Vietnam Wars.
Leroy was a lifelong resident of Kirby, Texas since 1963. He is survived by
four daughters: Patricia Moczygemba of Boerne, Texas; Irene Schneider of San Antonio,
Texas; Maxine Lowther of Plano, Texas; and Linda Seagroves of Houston, Texas, as well
as one son: Ronald Lowther of Broomfield, Colorado. He has ten
grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended
family and close friends. Visitation will be held on 4 October 2017 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas, 78218.
Funeral service will be held on 5 October 2017 at 12:00 noon at Sunset Memorial
Park Funeral Chapel with interment to immediately follow at Fort Sam Houston’s
Veterans Administration National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be sent to the Alzheimer’s
Association, American Diabetes Association or Salvation Army. You are invited to offer
