Lee R. Calcote

Lee R. Calcote was born in Newlin, TX on November 19, 1923 to Roy G & Mattie M. Calcote and entered eternity on September 17, 2010 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 86. Lee was a loving & devoted husband, father & grandfather. He was a 1st Lt pilot (P38 Pacific) WWII Veteran. He later worked with the Federal Highway Administration at Southwest Research Institute until retirement.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Irene Calcote; granddaughter, Elizabeth Dolan

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Linda Dolan (Robert) and Susan Dorman (Kim); grandchildren, Jacob Verbeck, Melissa Johnson, William Dolan, Christopher Dolan, Jeffrey Dorman; great grandchildren, Danielle, Jordan & Sarah Verbeck, Sally Johnson, Caileigh Dolan; sister, Norma Ruth; 2 brothers, David & Robert Calcote; several nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 20 , 2010 at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 21 , 2010 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s research.
