Lawrence “Pops” Hicks passed away peacefully on January 5, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Meta and his son Wilfried Hicks. Lawrence is survived by his sister Betty Schafer; son Steven Hicks and wife Debra; daughter Sandra Tumlinson; sister Erna Decker; granddaughters Krystal Rodriguez, Tiffany Whitman, Heidi Loosemore and grandson Samuel Tumlinson; great-grandchildren Janelle Rodriguez, Ivan Rodriguez, Elora Whitman, Lane Loosemore and Landon Loosemore. Lawrence is also survived by special cousin Treva Pitkal and special niece Lilie Mae and husband Ronnie Benefield.
Visitation will take place Saturday January 17, 2015 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place Sunday January 18, 2014 at 2:00pm in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with internment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
