9 MAY 1982 – 15 SEPTEMBER 2020
Latisha Danielle Peart was born on 9 May 1982 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Howard and Debra Brown and went home to be with her heavenly father on 15 September 2020.
Latisha (Tish) attended college at the University of Cincinnati where she studied Hospitality Management. She worked multiple jobs during her college years but later decided on a change of career and joined the United States Air force in December of 2002 as a Dental Assistant. Her first assignment was to Langley Air Force Base, Virginia where she met her husband Kenry Peart in November 2003. The two were inseparable and joined in wedlock after just three months of dating. They were married on 14 February 2004 and always referred to each other as true soulmates. Kenry was a single father when they met and Tish always said she fell in love with his daughter Kiyara before she fell in love with him. Kiyara instantly gravitated to Tish and began calling her mom on the day of their wedding. Tish cared for Kiyara as if she gave birth to her and consistently showered her with unconditional love.
The family received an assignment to RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom in September 2004. They traveled all over Europe during their tour and created lasting memories. Tish also introduced, then five-year old Kiyara to every sport and performing arts activities she hinted an interest in. This is how she discovered Kiyara’s passion for cheerleading and began nurturing it. The most important memory was news of Tish’s pregnancy with Kenry Junior (KJ). The family celebrated with a trip to Spain where Tish cringed every time she saw a sign posted on any ride with the word “embarazadas” because it meant pregnant women could not ride. They laughed about that experience for many years to follow. Tish was also promoted to Staff Sergeant before the family relocated to San Antonio, Texas in 2007.
Great things happened for the Peart family in Texas. They purchased their first home in 2007 and KJ was born in 2008. Tish made things look easy as she seamlessly juggled being a mother of two, a loving wife, and an active-duty member. She put the family first in everything and ensured all their needs were met, often sacrificing her own wants for theirs. She also made another professional change in Texas when she cross trained from the Dental Assistant Career Field to become a Paralegal, something she was very passionate about. She excelled as a Paralegal and met life-long friends during her time at Joint-Base San Antonio, Lackland. Her military career ended in June 2010 when she transitioned to the civilian sector and began pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies. She worked a full-time job during the day and attended classes at night for two straight years to earn her degree, while simultaneously taking care of her family. Tish and Kenry enjoyed San Antonio so much they decided they would plant roots there after retirement.
The family moved to Langley Air Force Base, Virginia in 2012 and Tish continued to excel. She worked in the Legal office and won several awards for exceptional performance. Tish enjoyed spending time fishing with her husband and attending activities with her children. They were only stationed at Langley Air Force Base for three years before receiving orders to Hawaii. This was a dream assignment and Team Peart was excited to embark on the journey. They arrived at Honolulu Airport in July 2015 and quickly established themselves. Tish continued to advance her paralegal career and secured employment with the Department of Navy as a Paralegal Specialist. She mastered all aspects of that position and looked for a new challenge. Tish later transitioned into a new role as a Labor and Employee Relations Specialist in the Joint Base Pearl Harbor Naval Ship Yard. The family loved their time in Hawaii. Tish and Kenry would often sneak off for mini dates and always enjoyed spending quality time together. One of their favorite dates was their monthly trip to Sam’s Club. They often joked that any time they went anywhere together alone, it was considered a date. They dreaded the time when they would have to leave the island and unfortunately, they had to return to the mainland in 2018. Luckily, Team Peart received orders to San Antonio for a second tour. Tish and Kenry viewed this as an omen that solidified their decision to retire in Texas.
Latisha Peart was an angel temporarily walking this earth. She had one of the purest souls and always looked for the good in everyone. She made a positive impact where ever she went and was always the life of any party. Her mantra was to enjoy life to the fullest and never miss an opportunity to share love. Latisha fully dedicated her life to taking care of her family and made sure they never wanted for anything. She has earned the right to rest in eternal peace. Latisha is survived by her husband (Kenry Peart Sr.), daughter (Kiyara Peart), and son (Kenry Peart Jr.), mother, (Debra Brown), sister (Monica Morris), brother-in Law (Michael Morris Sr.), and nephew (Michael Morris Jr.).
