Larry was in my English at Thomas Jefferson High School, always teasing me and trying to make me laugh.  My condolences to the family and Larry may you party in heaven and rest in peace!

 I knew Larry as a fellow brother in the Fire Dept.

I met Larry when I was assigned as a paramedic at fire station 7 in 1981. Larry was a really good guy, always laughing and joking (agitating). Many years later, when I was assigned to the Fire Chief's Office, I saw Larry all the time as he was also working  there. Still had that smile all the time! I have seen him several times at various functions since we both retired and he always kept up his humor and smile. He is a fellow Jefferson alumnus who excelled in sports and I'm sure he made his family proud. 
We will all miss Larry but are grateful we had him in our lives.

Larry and I were buddies since Irving MS,8th grade ,TJHS ‘68, San Antonio College freshman year.  We decided to join the Navy under the “buddy system” instead of getting drafted during Vietnam Era.  I was shocked that I got a 4 year enlistment and good ole Larry got a 2 year enlistment.  In Boot camp, he was in senior company and he would show up and harass me by giving me orders and laugh about.   I told him, wait till I see you back home and get back at him.  We served on different ships but we met again in Norfolk, VA.   After I retired from the Navy, I was always glad to see my ole buddy at our JEFF reunions, especially our 50th. I first met Larry when I worked in the “Fire MIS” group from 1998-2001 with Skipper, Peter, Vincent, and Daniel. He always had a great story to tell, or an interesting place for the group to go eat lunch (The Lord’s Kitchen, or under the pecan trees at Brackenridge Park), or even a cool place for the group to go camping and sing around the campfire with Vincent and Sophie and their guitar (Kerrville-Shriner State Park).

Larry brought us together for that short time we all worked together, he was a wonderful person. My condolences to Debbie and Ashley and his entire family.

Went Tom Jefferson High School with Larry.  Knew him as someone that was a  very funny  and  energetic person .  As a member of the TJ High school basketball team I recall how quick and elusive Larry was, thus the nickname "Rabbit".   He was just a great guy and I know will be missed by many.
