Mo, as he was affectionately known, was born in Hickory, NC on October 24th, 1984. As a young man, he found an interest in medicine as a means to helping his country. After high school, Mo enlisted in the US Army proudly serving his country as an Operating Room Specialist and through Operation Iraqi Freedom. Mo's calling was always medicine and after his time in the US Army, he continued to advance in his medical career. In 2019, he graduated with a Master in Physician Assistant Studies at UT Rio Grande Valley, and he would continue to serve his community as a neurosurgery PA.
Larry will be remembered for his accomplishments, his servant heart, and above all, a loving father.
Larry was preceeded in death by his father, John Henry Whitener, and he is survived by his wife, Stephanie Morales, his daughter, Ysela Morales, and son, Xavian Morales; his mother, Dorothy Whitener; many siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday November 13th, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
