Lannie Joe Ivy

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 11 a.m. at Utopia United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Waresville Cemetery.

He was born on March 26, 1951, in Sabinal to Ethel (Garrett) and Morris L. Ivy.

Lannie worked with his father on farms and ranches while growing up. As a child he was always ready to be on a horse to work cattle or help his father.

As he got older he worked in road construction for Hale and Hale, then later on with Texas Department of transportation in Uvalde.

He was preceded in death early in life by his mother, and later by his father and his stepmother Verdis (Massey) Ivy, then his sister Roberta Keeble.

He is survived by his two sons, Justin Colby Ivy and Lucas Cody Ivy and his daughter-in-law Kathryn and three grandchildren, Angel, Courtney and Edward Ivy; two sisters, Marsha Kay Ivy and Billie Ivy; two nieces, Julye Keeble and Stephanie O'Neill and husband, Patrick.

Lannie is at the big rodeo in heaven with family and friends.
