Kyle Sterling Clark departed into heaven on September 13, 2022 in Universal City, TX. Though his passing comes too soon, there is peace in knowing he has now reunited with some of his loved ones and is at rest. Kyle was born on June 12, 1976 to Kenneth Daryl Clark and Tanya Easterling Clark in Carmichael, California. He moved to the San Antonio, Texas area when he was five years old and lived in the area for the rest of his life. Kyle was raised and baptized at Central Christian Church in San Antonio.
Kyle was a man of many interests, with a brilliant mind and a huge heart. In high school he was a National Champion in the Junior Classical League, graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Trinity University, and later joined the Masters program in Microbiology from UTSA. As a child he was fascinated with space, from the real-life Space Shuttle Missions to Star Trek on television and Star Wars at the theater. He was also a student of history and in particular ancient classical history and modern military history. Kyle was also big into technology and computers, being savvy with new technology and also a collector of nostalgic tech – old calculators, cameras, recording equipment, etc.. Never without his camera, his love of chronicling events led him to always capture special moments and small details through photo and video, an indelible gift he leaves to us as he passes on.
Kyle found fulfillment helping others in need, frequently offering a helping hand to his neighbors and friends even if it meant a personal sacrifice. And Kyle was quick to share his passion for music with the people that he loved. He played guitar and keyboards, and collected special Ibanez guitars, including an impressive collection of the signature models from his favorite musician, guitarist Steve Vai. He liked rock and metal music, and was also a huge fan of 80’s and synth music, along with other genres.
He leaves behind his brother Jerod Clark, nephew Jack Clark, niece Kaeli Clark, sister-in-law Kate Clark, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and dear friends: Ann Ash, Rudy dela Rosa, Alfredo Gonzalez, Frank Cunningham, Ed Cunningham, Jeremy Forster, Ryan Steele, and many others to enjoy the photos, memories and music Kyle brought to their lives.
Kyle is reunited in heaven with his loving parents Kenneth and Tanya Clark and beloved maternal grandmother Ernestine Easterling.
