Kimberly Lavonne Font was born September 19, 1967 to George and Janis Jones in Miami, Florida. Kim resided in Miami, Florida during her childhood and received her formal education at Monsignor Edward Pace High School. Following graduation from High School and receiving her diploma, she enlisted into the United States Navy where she served our country for 14 years and worked as a Chef. After being medically discharged due to her health, she decided to further her education at Edison State College in Fort Myers, Florida where she excelled in her studies during her collegiate career.
Kim accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior as a young girl and served faithfully until her death.
Kim leaves to cherish a loving husband of 32 years, Robert Font. Their union was a real-life love story, for it was the beginning of Kim’s first book titled, “When Boy Meets Girl.” Through the years they have shared many ups and downs and good and bad times just like any other marriage but the thing that sets them apart, is their unconditional and everlasting love for each other.
Kimberly precedes her mother and father in death, George and Janis Jones, her husband, Robert Font and their 6 beautiful children: Tashara (Dionne) Gilyard residing in Queens, New York, Robert (Camisha) Font, Anthony (Nicole) Font, Antonia Font, Eric Font and Angelique Font whom all reside in San Antonio, Texas along with 11 grandchildren. She also leaves behind 3 brothers: Alfred Jones and Ronald Key residing in Miami, Florida and George Jones Jr. whom resides in San Antonio, Texas along with 2 nieces and 2 sisters, Valerie Washington and Anyana Simpson both residing in Fort Myers, Florida, a host of relatives and friends. Kimberly’s legacy will forever be remembered by her family, friends and the many lives she touched during life’s journey. We can definitely say that she died fulfilling her purpose here on Earth.
