Kenneth R. Walker

Kenneth R. Walker, loving husband, father, son, and brother entered into eternal rest on April 30, 2012 at the age of 57. He was born on May 30, 1954 in Maud, Texas to Argil Russell and Mary Jo Burnett Walker. Ken honorably served in the United States Army from 1973 to 1983, obtaining the rank of Sergeant. After his time in the service he graduated with an Associate degree from San Antonio College in Nursing. He married Bonnie Lee Tuffs on January 5, 1985 in San Antonio, TX. Ken has worked from 1988 to now as an RN in the SICU at Methodist Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father, Argil Russell Walker; and stepfather, Harrell E. Johnson. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Lee Tuffs Walker; sons, Russell Owen Walker of San Antonio and Jack Lorin Walker of San Antonio; mother, Mary Jo Burnett Johnson of Calera, AL; siblings, Donna Burton and husband Roger of Bryan, TX, Rebecca (Rae) Davis and husband Mike of Calera, AL, Mary Frances Johnson of Calera, AL, and Bobby Jack Johnson and wife Lavonne of Franklin, TX; and uncle, Ed Burnett and wife Bertha of Maud, TX. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home; Funeral Service will start at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at the funeral home.
