Kathy Word

Kathy was born December 3, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas to Stella and Helmuth Muenchow. Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Roger F. Word.

Kathy was a long time member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and the Whispering Oaks Garden Club. Kathy and Roger enjoyed traveling and always made new friends wherever their travels took them.

Kathy was loved by all who knew her and will be remembered by her beautiful smile.

Kathy received a card during her illness that described how many felt about her ---The name Kathleen is of Irish origin and means “Pure”. That was our Kathy, Pure Heart, Pure Compassion, Pure Joy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 30, 2012 at 1PM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4201 DeZavala, San Antonio, TX 78249.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Project Renewal at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 10703 Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78230.
