Katherine "Kitty" Lowther

Katherine (Kitty) Hilda Lowther was born in Hurlock, Maryland on 14 December 1926 but resided in Kirby, Texas since 1963. She was carried up to her creator by angels on 24 May 2011, after a life of pure selflessness, a career Army spouse, a love for her country, and pure devotion to her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Leroy Lowther; four daughters: Patricia Moczygemba, Irene Schneider, Maxine Lowther, Linda Seagroves; and one son: Ronald Lowther. She also has ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas, 78218. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 9:00am at Sunset Funeral Chapel with interment to immediately follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
