Kali Eyvonne Gorzell

She was taken from her family and friends much too early in a tragic boating accident while doing what she loved best - spending time with her friends. She was born June 6, 1996, in San Antonio, to James and Donna Gorzell. She was an honor student at Smithson Valley High School where she excelled at volleyball. She was an excellent student who enjoyed learning new things. She enjoyed attending youth groups at Community Bible Church.

Kali lived, laughed and loved with a never ending smile. Her love of life touched and affected many lives. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Edmund and Margaret Gorzell; maternal grandparents, Jean and Jerry Holdman; aunt, Eyvonne Smith; aunt, Joan Gorzell Mika; uncle, Norman Moczygemba and cousin, Ashley Dobie.

Kali is survived by her father, James Gorzell; mother, Donna Gorzell; brother, Kirby Gorzell; boyfriend, Colton Renkin; uncles, Dane Kirby and wife Rosemary, Dale Kirby and wife Stephanie, Tommy Smith, Fabian Gorzell and wife Earlene, Robert Gorzell and wife Mary, Ed Gorzell, Jr., and wife Dina; aunts, Kelly Kirby Brown and husband Austin, Louise Gorzell Moczygemba, Patricia Gorzell Donsbach and husband Ray; numerous cousins and countless friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
