On October 22, 2020 the Lord received another beautiful angel with the passing of Julianne Lee Rhodes, our beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She went peacefully in her sleep after a long battle due to complications from Huntington’s Disease at the age of 43.
Julie was born in Fort Collins, Colorado in 1976 and then from there she moved to California and Wyoming where she was raised until her marriage to her husband in 2003. After their marriage she moved from Wyoming, Alaska, Washington, and finally to Texas, as an active duty military spouse. She was a homemaker for over 14 years until she moved into full time care placement in 2017.
Some of her favorite things were scrapbooking, horror movies, watching documentaries, music, and of course the Denver Broncos. Her favorite holiday next to Christmas, was Halloween. She was a social butterfly and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Most importantly, Julie loved her family. She loved being an aunt to her nieces, and a mother to her three beautiful children.
Julie was the most kind hearted, loving, and caring person that I have ever met. She was the most beautiful young woman, inside and out and she had a smile that would light up the room. The best part of her was her infectious laugh. It brought so much pleasure and joy to the ones that loved her. She will be forever and truly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her, but especially by her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her father Michael, her uncle Randy and her great aunt Beverly. She is survived by her husband Jared; three children Michael, Madison, and Mason; mother Barbara; stepfather Ronald; sister Tricia; nieces Mackenzie, Grace, and Emberlyn; nephews Tanner and Tucker.
Julie’s Celebration of Life will be Thursday October 29, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. For family and friends that can’t attend, a live stream can be accessed by using the link attached to Julie’s obituary.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) at the following link: https://app.donorview.com/Donation/DonationInfo?prm=tqITQp5N0w3BYK94HwsDgB1WosiCtMQprdkQ_yrGx2fJMJ-MHmXx2ZGQ8DNYz-ID95O7AnDE0R-1zUQD0mvQFQ_NKHNEzi1X7SqAthLR9N-DWuBJpci_-Ar-YLVlENfRlovPwAJh2mpQ5XXbfw_v6KVcCd2Vcj5AYRBqnJbMuYhaJOz-wnX48_rphQh7W4katoqO2lKqzT_hBGPcJSLHFvnmIe-QBKnvkL4NTDBlu-eeGZw8OgORx_TMPCK6vVla0
