Dad, I miss you so very much.  Nothing is the same without you.  I know you're in a better place and I'm happy you're no longer in pain, but it hurts my heart that you're not around anymore.  We're all here for mom so don't you worry about anything.  I know you're with us and making sure we are okay.  I long to see you again and see that smile on your face.  I even miss seeing you asleep on the couch with the remote in your hands.  I love you and can't wait till I see you again when the Lord calls me.  Until then I will have you in my heart. you were the best great grandfather a boy could ever ask for, you were always there for everyone. i miss you so much, everyone loved going over on sundays to watch football, basketball, etc.. i learned a lot from you, and the most important thing i learned was to never give up on anything you do. i know that you will be looking down from heaven at each and everyone of us and guiding all of us in thr right paths. im sure you are haveing the time of your life in the mansion you walked in straight from the hospital. thank you for serving our country! im gonna miss you until we see eachother again. love you papo!!

Thank you for everything you have done for us.  We greatly appreciate you and Mamo for allowing us to live in your home.  We will never forget your knowledge of military history, your own life stories, and your advice on betting on the horse races...even though, after hours of explanation, you would say "Eh, it doesn't really matter anyway.  You just have to be lucky once in a while".  We will miss watching the late-night card games with Mamo and all the accusations of cheating after someone wins, and of course, all of the corny Cowboys jokes...including the one about them making the Super Bowl every year, only because they bought tickets to the game.

We are infinitely grateful for the time you were able to spend with Ciara.  She enjoyed and loved her time with you, whether it was jumping and dancing for you, or picking flowers outside with you.  She will never forget the love you showed her.

Thank you for being the BEST husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather we will ever know and learn from.  We will carry on and pass down the priceless values you taught us through the years we were given with you.  We will never forget and will love you forever.

GOD truly blessed my life when you and mamo welcomed me into yours. The years came and went so fast, I never thought this day would come so quickly. I can still hear your voice and see your warm welcoming smile. I already miss the way you would hug me when I would walk in the door. The time we spent together helped to mold my life. Your strong work ethic and willingness to help others inspired me in so many ways. I can't even begin to thank you enough for the impact you made on our lives. 
I can't wait to see the house that the Lord has prepared for you. Our ticket to heaven is paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ! No one can earn it; it is a free gift for those willing to accept it. However, I believe our homes in heaven will be a reflection of the honor we brought to GOD while we served him here on earth. I am guessing by the way you treated people, served your family, church and community, you will have the nicest place! ?  Please have the coffee ready and lots more jokes to tell when I see you again.
P.S. Mamo misses you lots and she loves you so very much.
