Julia D. Villarreal

Julia D. Villarreal went to be with her Lord on March 21, 2016 at the age of 89. She was known as “Mom” to her children and as “Tia” to the rest of the family. She was a kind soul with an unwavering faith in God. She spent nearly 60 years serving her church and community and opened her loving home to any and all. To know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband David Villarreal and her siblings Richard and Mary. She is survived by her children David Villarreal (Grace) and Sandra Holguin (Robert); grandson David Nathan Villarreal; great grandchildren Neva, Ava, and Sofia; siblings Manuela, Linda, Janie, and Abraham; grandnephew Martin Selva; and loved ones Ashlee DeLeon, Lyndzee and Lila Ramos.

The family will be receiving guests at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 804 Ruiz Street, on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. and a mass on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the St. Agnes Community Closet.
