Judy Lundy, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2023. She was born Judith Ann Truitt on June 29, 1943 in Middletown, CT to Richard Earl Truitt and Melba Evelyn Satchell Truitt.
She is preceded in death by her mother Melba Ratliff, father Richard Truitt, husband Donal Morgin Lundy and brother James Truitt.
She is survived by her children: John Thomas McMahon III “Trey” (Charlotte), Michael James McMahon; stepchildren: Donal Lundy (Veronica), Bryan Lundy (Ivie); grandchildren: Blake McMahon, Kyndall McMahon, K’La Irvin, Lauren Lundy, David Lundy, Emma Lundy, Noah Lundy, Mickayla Medrano and Michayella Medrano; great grandchildren: Weston McMahon and Branch McMahon; siblings: Richard Truitt; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Judy graduated from Robert E Lee High School in San Antonio, TX. Shortly after, she married and raised her two sons with her first husband, John T McMahon Jr. She worked at Marion Elementary School to be close to her sons while they attended Marion Junior High School and Marion High School. She went on to obtain her residential real estate license, and later worked for UPS, and Norwood Collections, at which time she then retired.
Shortly before she retired, she met and married Donal Lundy, and they were married for almost twenty years.
She loved her family and friends and was affectionately known as “Grammy”.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 9:00am, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery – Shelter #4. Following the service, the Chester’s Hamburgers at Loop 410 and N. New Braunfels will open at 10:30 for us to visit and celebrate her life.
A graveside service for Judith will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
