Judith Jean Walker was born in Carthage, IL on the 23rd of December, 1941 to parents Onlyn and Farrel Leavengood Walker. In her youth, she was active in the Girl Scouts and Baptist youth groups, being baptized in Calvary Baptist Church, Davenport IA. She graduated from Davenport High School and St. Ambrose University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Marketing.
On the 29th of March 1963, Judith married Bradley Boeckner. She became a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church after being confirmed into the Evangelical Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. Judith was a loving wife, mother of two sons, Mark Onlyn and Matthew Todd, and full time homemaker. After the sons were raised, changed hats and stepped into the business world, she became the owner and operator of Niblack Slenderizing Saloon in the village of East Davenport. Also raised funds for the Girl Scouts and Trinity Lutheran Church and School expansion. Judith also served at the Davenport Tourism Bureau.
She had membership in the Daughter's of the America Revolution (DAR), Texas Gardners Clubs, Flower Show Judges Council, Colonial Dames, Women Breakfast Club, and The Petroleum Club.
Judie has called Carthage, Davenport, Blue Grass and Castle Hills her home. Retiring to Castle Hills in 1993.
She is survived by her husband Brad; sons Mark, Aurora CO; Matt (Annie), Davenport IA; granddaughter Jenna (Mike)Cooksey, Blue Grass IA; grandson Ryan (Jessie) Venden, Dewitt IA; six great grandchildren Kain, Parker, Ryleigh, Conner, Jayce, and Berric; brother Samuel J. Walker CO; cousin Ann(Guy) Wolf, Bandera.
