Juanita Valdez Torres

Juanita Valdez Torres born on March 11, 1927 went into the loving arms of the Lord on March 21, 2020 at the blessed age of 93. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Alfonso V. Torres; beloved daughter Diana T. Corral; parents Enrique and Dionicia Valdez; sisters Angelica Alfaro, Leonor Navarro and Sara Pedraza; brothers, Jose Marie Valdez and Jose Angel Valdez; son- in- law; Alberto Galan and daughter in – law Irma G. Torres. She is survived by her children Connie Galan, Lydia T. Murray (David), Sylvia V. Torres (John), Alfonso V. Torres Jr. (Sheryl) and Bobby Torres (Cindy) and son-in-law; Raul Corral; grandchildren April Marie Juarez (Nix), Christopher Galan (Morgan), James Torres-Sittler, Austin Galan, Cordero Jett Torres, Isabella Adonia Torres and Nicole Aviles (Wilson); great grandchildren Noah Aviles, Ash Bachtall-Sittler, Quentin Galan, Elia Aviles and Olivia Elaine Galan ; also survived by her siblings Eloisa Celestino, and Dolores Gamboa; numerous nieces and nephews, family members and friends. She will always be remembered as a devoted mother, faithful devoted parishner and Guadalupana Member at St John Berchmans’ Catholic Church. She will truly be missed by family and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Memorial Rosary to be recited that evening at 7:00p.m. The funeral procession will be departing at 10:00a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at for a Memorial Mass at St. John Berchmans' Catholic Church at 10:30a.m. Inurnment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No.II

Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the Visitation at Trevino Funeral Home – 226 Cupples Road 78237 – will be limited to 100 people in the building at a time.

Arrangements are being made with Trevino funeral home for a future date.
