Juanita Torres Garcia

Juanita T. Garcia (Janie) passed away peacefully and quietly October 21, at the age of 83. Janie was born November 24, 1930 in Sinton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her greatest love and companion of 48 years Luis Raul De Leon. She was the youngest and last surviving sibling. Brothers were Gregorio, Antonio, Enrique, Adolfo, and Vicente. Sisters were Trinidad Garcia and Ascension Hernandez. Janie was a lady of quiet intellect, gentle strength, kind and generous. Her smile and kind heart will be greatly missed by all who knew her. After Luis’ passing, her heartache was unbearable at times. Their years together had been filled with quiet moments, tender care and respect for one another. They loved without reservation and unconditionally. Although suffering with dementia, in her final days, she would speak to him quietly and often. She is survived by niece Rachel Fuentes, husband Roger and children: Javier, Cody and Megan. The Fuentes family is honored to have been a part of her life. Our Family would like to thank Emeritus Kingsley Place, for caring for her over the last few years.
