Juana Servin Saenz, beloved and adored wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, left us to be with our Lord on January 20, 2025. She will be missed by the many people whose lives she touched during her life.
Juana was born on August 3, 1939 in San Antonio, Texas to Ramon and Ascencion Servin. She was raised in San Antonio and graduated from Sam Houston High School. She worked many jobs throughout her life but was primarily employed in civil service for 25 years as a medical transcriber at Fort Sam Houston and Brooks AFB. She also served as a substitute teacher, Sunday school teacher, and even as a “mama patrol” at various times – always concerning herself with the well-being of all children.
Juana liked traveling, dancing, and playing slot machines. She loved socializing with her family and friends and didn’t mind being the center of attention. She remained devoted to her husband, Robert, through their 50 years of marriage, and was an enthusiastic partner and assistant in his many business ventures. She loved and cherished her children and grandchildren. Juana was a devoted Christian and an active member at the Lutheran churches she attended, being involved with the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and always enjoying the fellowship of church. She also instilled her faith in her children.
Juana is survived by her four children, Jaime, Tania, Naomi, and Damian (Marisa); ten grandchildren, Anastasia, Koren, Sarah, Jett, Soraya, Bobby, Sebastian, Nicholas, Noah, and Jaime, Jr.; five great grandchildren; her brother, Alfredo Servin; and many nieces and nephews that loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Saenz; her parents, Ramon and Ascension Servin; sister, Clara Martinez; and brothers, Pedro and Ramon Servin.
We pray the Lord bless and keep Juana in his grace and mercy until we may embrace her again.
