He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Sr. and Adelaida Martinez; brothers, Ramon, Olegario, Anastasio, David, Luis and Paul; sister, Estella and grandson Nicholas Pina.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula Martinez; children: Carlos Martinez (Sonia), Angie Martinez, Johnny Martinez (Joanna), Martha Pina (Alex) and Andrea Alvarez (Stephen); brother, Ralph; sisters, Anita and Diana; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Daddy was very intelligent, respectful, quiet, religious but funny. He loved to watch sports and old westerns. He also enjoyed eating brunch, dinner and BBQ’s with the family.
The family would especially like to thank Mary V. Hinojosa. Our Mary cared for daddy during his illness and in his last days and hours. As mom said, what would we have done without Mary, we would have been lost without her. We love you Mary.
A visitation will be held Monday, October 12, 2020, at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
