Juan L. Contreras, 93, went to be with his Lord on December 8, 2017. Juan was born on February 13, 1924 to Victor and Justa Contreras. He was a member of the Anahuac club and loved to dance as well as cater food for different events. He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife: Maria; daughter: Rosa (Armando); son: Raul (Lucia); son Juan (Frances); daughter: Leticia; son: Oscar (Cecilia); daughter: Esperanza (Ernest); son: Alvaro (Blanca); 16 Grandchildren; 28 Great-Grandchildren; and 2 Great- Great Grandchildren; brother: Ricardo.
Visitation will be held at Funerarai del Angel Roy Akers 515 N. Main Ave, on Thursday, December 14 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Procession will depart on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Jude Catholic Church 130 S. San Augustine, with interment to follow at San Fernando III.
