Josie Tober Davila

Josie Tober Davila, age 83, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024. She was born on March 19, 1941, in Stockdale, Texas, to Jose Tober and Isabel Lopez. Josie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Josie was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, and her beloved grandson. She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Davila and Leticia Davila (Tony Zapata); her sons, Raymond Davila Jr.(Denise Heredia) and Richard (Christina) Davila ; her sisters, Elida Reyes and Mary Cisneros; her brother, Juan (Aurora) Tober; as well as 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Throughout her life, Josie demonstrated an unwavering love for her family, and her kindness, strength, and nurturing spirit touched the hearts of many. She was a pillar of support and love to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her legacy will continue through them.

Josie’s family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have passed before her. She will forever be remembered for her warmth, love, and devotion to family.

Rest in peace, Josie. You will always be in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Josie’s memory to American Heart Association, an organization close to her heart. Your contribution will continue her legacy of giving and compassion.

A visitation for Josie will be held Monday, November 18, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, followed by a rosary from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM.
