Joshua Anthony Chapa

Joshua Anthony Chapa entered into eternal rest on November 16, 2021 at the age of 18. He was born in Brownsville, TX to Juan Arturo Chapa and Brenda Reyna Tharpe on January 28, 2003. Joshua is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Catalina Aleman; his uncle, Luis “Gino” Garces; and Cousin, Dillon Martinez. He is survived by his parents, Brenda Reyna Tharpe (Chris) and Juan Arturo Chapa (Mary); his siblings, Brianna Chapa, Luis Garces, Jacob Tharpe, David Tharpe, Princess Diaz and Christopher Quiroga; grandparents, Reynaldo and Adelita Garces, Oren Bryan and Deborah Lee Tharpe, Virginia and Juan Chapa; his loving girlfriend, Maria Fernanda; numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Joshua was a loving and caring son, brother and friend whom was deeply loved and will be missed dearly by all the lives he touched. Joshua loved music and art but most of all he loved his family. He would always put his families wellbeing before his own. His presence would light up any room and would bring joy and laughter to all around him.

The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer service at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. The funeral services will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Central Christian Church, 720 N. Main Avenue, followed by internment at Sunset Memorial Park.
