Josephine M. Dickman

Josephine Dickman was born on February 5, 1927, in Altoona, PA and entered into eternal life on March 24, 2011 after a brief illness. She married her beloved husband Clifford Arthur Dickman on February 10, 1949 and enjoyed many years together until his passing in 1980. Jo loved dancing, golfing, music and spending time with family and friends, but her passion was her love of animals, especially dogs.

She is survived by her son, Chris Dickman; daughters, Gloria Kuehler and Rebecca Simmang; grandchildren, Lindsey, Matthew, Stephen, Chris, James and Alex and numerous great grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Vista Care Hospice for allowing Jo’s wish to be home with her family possible. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 4242 Woodcock Dr. #101, San Antonio, TX 78228-1325, 210-738-8141.

A private family service will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Jo’s life at her residence, 12337 Trailing Oaks, San Antonio, TX 78233 on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 2PM to 4PM.
