On Thursday May 30, 2019 at 4:37 in the morning, the Father reached down with his hand and carried away a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
Joseph Michael Dukuly (Jusufu Momolu Dukuly) was born on June 2, 1964 to The Late Samolu Momolu Dukuly and Hawa Johnson-Bestman (survived) in Monrovia, Liberia. Joseph is the oldest son of 8 children. In 1972, Joseph came to the United States at the age of 8 years old. He lived in New York being raised by his Aunt/Mother The Late Marcia Washington Eadie. There he attended Hilton Van-Ee School and Martin Luther King High School.
Shortly after graduating High School, Joseph enlisted in the United States Air Force and served a term of 4 years. Joseph was honorably discharged and thereafter worked for companies such a Pace Foods (Supervisor), Harland Clarke (TR), JP Morgan Chase (Collector), Coventry Healthcare (TR) and Toyota Manufacturing (Paint Inspector).
Joseph was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was a man who loved family and enjoyed watching his children grow. Joseph was kind and compassionate and loved by many. He enjoyed cooking, bowling, fishing and watching movies. He enjoyed shopping with his wife and playing games with his children.
Joseph was a member of the Wayfaring Church of God in Christ (Pastor John R. Harvey) and Embassy Christian Center (Pastor William Rob Wallace).
Joseph is survived by wife Victoria Lynn Dukuly and 4 children Joseph Michael Dukuly, Jr., Josiah Samonlu Dukuly, Macayas Emon Douglas and Mahari Aisha Dukuly. Also survived by Sister-Hawa Dukuly (MN); Brother-Memmeh Dukuly (Elizabeth Dukuly) (Canada); Sister-Miatta Dukuly-Reid (Dr. Oliver Reid) (VA); Sister-Nyale Dukuly-Koselzopoulos (McDowell Koselzopoulos) (MD); Bartu & Musu Dorley (Liberia); Brother-Jomo Stubberfield (VA); Stephen & Momolu Tolbert (Liberia). Preceded in death by Sister- Bartu Dukuly; Father – Samolu Momolu Dukuly; Aunt/Mother Marcia Washington Eadie.
A family of Dukuly, Sirleaf, Johnson, Dorley, Washington, Sarnor, Kromah, Siryon, Tolbert and a host of other relatives from Suehn-Bopolu, Mecca, Bomi Hills, Capemount, Todee, Texas, Billimah-Bushrod Island and Monrovia Liberia.
