Jose Ramirez, Jr. born on May 28, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the age of 83 years. Jose is preceded in death by his wife, Ramona Ramirez. He is survived by his children, Velia and John C. Herrera and Marcos and Mary Ester Ramirez; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Jose worked in Civil Service at Kelly Air Force Base for 30 years and is a Veteran Marine. Visitation begins Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 9: 00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart the Funeral Home Monday, August 27, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
