Jose Flores Martinez passed away March 28, 2021 after several months of declining health. Jose was a proud veteran who served his country in both Vietnam and Desert Storm. Jose leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, dancing and dedication that will live on in the hearts of those he knew and loved.
Jose was born in San Antonio on September 28,1945 to Frances M. Flores and Jose C. Martinez. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children Yvette Foster and Alyssa Martinez; brother Rudy Martinez, sisters Ruby Martinez and Diane Rodriguez; son-in-law Phillip Foster; granddaughters Haley and Lauren Foster; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on April 29, 2021 at 6:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX. Funeral Service will be held on April 30, 2021 at 9:45AM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX. Committal Service will be held on April 30, 2021 at 11:15AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX
