Jose Maria "Chema" Hernandez

Jose (Chema) Maria Hernandez went to be with the lord on November 16, 2014 at the age of 67. He enjoyed life and had many hobbies such as fishing, gambling, and dancing to oldies. He loved to eat! The San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys were two of his favorite sports teams. Jose was also involved in a league for boxing at Wesley Community Center. He also enjoyed socializing with family and friends and was dedicated to his loving mother, the love of his life, whom he called mi Reina. He will be truly missed. Jose was preceded in death by his father Catarino Hernandez Sr., and is survived by his loving mother, Concepcion Hernandez, 4 Brothers: Alejandro (Goya +), Catarino Jr. (Raquel), Edward (Lucinda), Daniel (Carol); 5 Sisters: Gloria (Benny +), Josie (Frank), Beatriz (Robert), Rosa (Jesse), Lupe (David) and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation will be held at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd., on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 8:00AM on Friday, November 21, 2014 for an 8:30AM Mass of Resurrection at St. Henry’s Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery No.2.
