Jose was a selfless man who had a wonderful sense of humor and was always available when someone needed help. He was always thinking of others until the day of his passing. He was devoted to his family, especially his beloved wife, until the end.
He was a proud vet who served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. After the service he was employed in Civil Service at Fort Sam Houston, building 44 for over 37 years. He loved nature and animals, especially his cat Socks. He also loved watching comedies in which his boisterous laugh would fill the room. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.
A rosary for Jose will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 600 Oblate Dr., San Antonio, Texas 78216, with a funeral mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery No. 2.
