He was born in Nordheim, Texas on August 8th, 1926. Joe graduated from Goliad High School and received his Masters in Economics from St. Mary's University. He married Ingebory Garcia in 1959.
Joe was a professor at San Antonio College and St. Phillip's College. He was a member of DAV, the American Foreign Legion, and the VFW. He had a passion for politics, gardening, reading, and his Faith.
He is survived by his children, Cynthia, Sandra, Diana, Ingrid, and Joey; grandchildren Compton, Brian, Michelle, William, Trevor, Taylor, Lauren, Autumn, Cristian, Dakota, and Ethan; and brothers Jasper and Robert.
A graveside service for Jose will be held Thursday, June 6, 2023 from 10:45 AM to 11:15 AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
