Johnny “Joe” D. Martin, age 76, passed away July 8, 2021 in San Antonio TX. He was born in Thomasville, AL on March 16, 1945 to Sancil & Gertrude Martin and raised in Pass Christian, MS. He was a loving husband, father and friend who will be dearly missed.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters, and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Arna J. Martin; daughter, Michele Martin; grandson, Donovan Watts Jr.; 3 sisters, Delores, Trellis, and Linda; 1 beloved Godchild, Vanessa Bailey; 1 cousin, Charles Jenkins; a devoted brother-in-law, Michael; and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, and great-great nephew and nieces.
The first Memorial Service will be 6pm, Monday, July 19, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home, San Antonio, TX.
The second Memorial Service will be at Noon, Friday, 23 July, 2021 at First Missionary Baptist Church Pass Road, Gulfport, MS and burial will be at VA Cemetery, Biloxi, MS.
