John is preceded in death by is parents; brother: Alan K. Williams; sister: Dian O. Steward.

He is survived by his loving wife: Esther Williams; brothers: Harold Williams and Henry Williams; sister: Gail Huggins; numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the visitation for John at Roy Akers Funeral Home – 515 North Main Ave. 78205 – will be limited to only 40 people in the building at a time. There will be a public visitation period on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The Chapel Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in accordance with the limitations, with a private interment to take place at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. If the building is at its capacity, you will be asked to wait in your vehicle until a space opens. Face coverings are required to be worn at all times.
