Chief Schultz was a 30 year veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He was born on July 19, 1947 in Mount Holly, NJ to Leo and Margaret Schultz. In 1966, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving all over the world, and retiring in 1996 at Randolph AFB in Texas. It was at Randolph AFB that John continued his career in Civil Service, ultimately retiring in 2017.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Tiffanee Schultz, Stacey and Rudolfo Villa, and Leo Louis Schultz II; grandchildren, Tristan Schultz, Zachary Villa, Izabelle Schultz, Evan Villa, Caden Villa & Joshua Villa; his sister, Susan Basarab; his brother, James Schultz; his nieces and nephews; and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Margaret Schultz, and his sister, Madeline Murray.
The Viewing will be held at 6pm with the Rosary to follow at 7pm, on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218. The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30pm, on Monday, February 8, 2021, at St. Monica Catholic Church, 501 North St., Converse, TX 78109. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
