John V. Rowan, Jr., passed away on December 2, 2002. He was co-owner and principal of an interior design firm located in New York City, New York. Mr. Rowan attended the San Antonio Academy, Texas Military Institute and Cascia Hall Preparatory School. He was a collector of Irish Silver, which now comprises the John V. Rowan, Jr. Silver Collection on display at the San Antonio Museum of Art. Mr. Rowan was a member of the San Antonio Country Club, The Argyle, Club Giraud and also, was a Patron of the New York City Metropolitan Opera and the Southwest Craft Center.
