John Roy Dearman

John Roy Dearman passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the age of 86. He was born on October 23, 1930 to James Luther and Annie Lucille Dearman Clarkston, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: James and Robert. He survived by his loving wife of 42 years Marinel Dearman, children: Roy Ann Thomas (Sye), Casey Nicks Adams, Jr., Dianna Lee Gregory (Danny), Louis Edwin Dugosh (Trish), Susan Dale Hancock (Roland), Donna Lynn Trieber (Thomas) and sister Dorothy Yates; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

John served our country proudly in the United States Air Force. After the service he worked at Montgomery Ward’s where he later retired from the company so he and Marinel could take care of the grandchildren who were the apple of their eye. He loved to play Shuffle Board and loved to dance whenever given the opportunity. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved and knew of him.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 9:30am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
