John N. Burke went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2019 at the age of 75. During his life, he was a loving husband and father, cherished grandfather, generous friend, wise mentor, and outstanding businessman. In his younger days, he proudly served as Staff Sergeant in the US Marine Corps then later as a private pilot and instructor. He was a church member of St. Stephen’s Chapel. John loved traveling in his RV, spending time with his grandchildren, friends and family.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Kathy Ann Burke and his mother, Marian Burke.
He is survived by his two children, John Patrick Burke and Marian Castleberry and her husband, Curtis; granddaughter, McKinley; grandsons, Jeremiah and Levi; sister-in-law, Christine Wentz-Duvall; niece and nephews, James, Will, Chuck, and Kimberly Duvall; as well as many cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 3pm with a reception to follow at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Condolences may be offered at sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.
