John Alvarez, age 63, passed away September 20, 2010 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on October 11, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas to Edward and Augustina Alvarez. He was preceded in death by his wife Olga C. Alvarez. John is survived by his daughters, Nancy Flores, Cindy Alvarez, Barbara Pena; sons, Jason Alvarez, James Alvarez, John Alvarez; grandchildren, Ashley, Danielle, Katherine, Beverly, Jacob, Joseph, Miriam, Michael and Joshua. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Walts officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
