Joel Garza Botello

Joel Garza Botello born on September 10, 1958 in San Antonio, TX entered into the loving arms of our Lord on July 13, 2024 at the age of 65. Joel was well known throughout the community having graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1976 and then becoming an owner of Botello Food Store and Community Check Cashing. Joel was respected and loved by all for his characteristic smile and a willingness to help his fellow man and community.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Perez Botello and Florinda Garza Botello; paternal grandparents, Lucio Davila Botello and Dolores Perez Botello.

He is survived by his former wife, Laura Alicia Martinez; children, Joselyn Cantu, Joel Abel Botello and Roy Joel Botello; aunt Yolanda Zurita; siblings Gladys Lopez, Rene Botello. and Roland Botello, along with numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many, many friends. Joel will be missed by all and he will always live in our hearts.

The Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 midnight at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio,TX 78237 followed by a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Rd., San Antonio,TX 78226
