Joe W. Ivy, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on October 5, 1924 in Fayette County, TX to Joe & Elsie Ivy. Mr. Ivy was a proud WWII Army Air Corp. Veteran and retired with over 30 years from Nabisco Foods. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed.
Mr. Ivy was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Liska Ivy; parents and 4 brothers.
He is survived by his sister, Almeda Poth; 2 sisters-in-law, Lorraine Ivy and Wilma Ivy; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel followed by Rosary and Prayer Service at 3:00 p.m.
The Graveside will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2016 at Sunset Mausoleum II.
The family would like to express their “special thanks” to Mr. Ivy’s caregivers.
