Joe R. Garcia Jr.

Joe R. Garcia Jr, born November 30, 1936, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the age of 77. Joe retired from the San Antonio Independent School District in 1994 after 37 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe R. Sr. and Herlinda Garcia. He leaves behind his children: Joe R. Garcia III (Peggy), Christine Garcia, Sandra Garcia (Ian); grandchildren: April, Sherry, Meghan, Ryder, Xiomara, Raul, Rhiannon, Lincoln; great-granchildren: Aubrielyn, Avan, Sophie, Ella, Ethan, Victor, Oriana, Destiny, Angie, Anna, Lexas, Anthony-Joseph, Alexis, and sisters; Mary Medina and Linda Peche (Louie Terrazas) to cherish his memories. Family will be receiving guests Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 5:00p.m.-9:00p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 14, 2014 at 10:00a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church with a one-hour visitation prior to Mass at the church.
